With multi-zone Computational Fluid Dynamics we can exactly forecast the air flow in and around the building and the related transport of heat, humidity and pollutant. This procedure is especially suitable for skyscrapers with maximum wind pressure and temperature differences. In this context, the local distribution of wind pressures on the building facade is determined by measurement. Knowing the different building flows, we are in a position to discover and minimize the air flow induced discomfort (draughts, odor transmission, big door opening forces). It is also possible to check the ventilation through windows or facade ventilation devices.
